Hair Care Product Reviews Are Hard to Come by

If you’re like me, you’re probably hard pressed to find reviews of your favorite beauty products. I mean the legitimate ones, that have real users report on their experiences with various products that we all need for our daily hair care regimen. This stuff can get expensive. I often end up sticking with my tried and true favorites. Yet I’m sure there are lots of hair care products out there that might do a much better job, but I’m not willing to go out on a limb unless I have a recommendation from another hair stylists or read a legitimate review somewhere.

“ended up being
just rip off artists”

Problem is where? Folica does a pretty good job, but only review products that they carry. Amazon has some ratings on the tools that they sell. The hair styling magazines aren’t much help either, as I’m sure they are trying to stay away from critical reviews of a potential advertiser.

I just spent a half hour poking around and I came up with nothing but rip off sites that claimed they had reviews, but ended up being just rip off artists trying to get me to buy something off of their site.

Do you know of any sites out there that I could link to from time to time? If so give them a boost and post the URL in the comments or send it to me as an email.

Occasionally I run across a newspaper piece like this one from Colorado Junction Daily Sentinel. In it they have several of their staff test Pantene Pro-V Restoratives Time Renewal Replenishing Mask and report. Slim pickens, I know, but we gotta take what we can get .

What we tested: Pantene Pro-V Restoratives Time Renewal Replenishing Mask.

Cost: About $5.

Where: Widely available.

Product claim: “Dramatically quenches parched strands, leaving hair supple and restored.”

Information: www.pantene.com

Here’s what we thought:
